The Who – Live At The Super Bowl XLIV (Half Time)

Ya que subí algo de The Who no podia dejar de mencionar el magnifico show que realizaron este último domingo durante el intermedio del Super Bowl XLIV.
Habia dejado de ver el Futbol Americano desde hace un tiempo, estaba desactualizado, sólo sabia quienes protagonizarian la final asi que este partido no me lo podía perder. Al finalizar el segundo cuarto estaba a punto de salir mientras duraba el intermedio, pero mientras me demoré estaba por empezar el show del intermedio, ni idea de quien tocaria esta vez, pero realmente valió la pena haberme demorado en salir, no podia creer lo que estaba viendo en mi televisor, despues de años que no veía en cable algo tan bueno como eso, eran Roger Daltrey y Pete Townshend dandonos una lección de rock. Una de las mejores bandas de todos los tiempos estaba realizando un espectacular show, sonaban tan añejos, tan bien, como en viejos tiempos, aquel sublime Baba O’Really al escuchar cantar al publico el coro, ver al gran Pete Townshend hacer sus famosos giros con el brazo (no estoy seguro pero probablemente él invento ese movimiento) oir al inacabable Roger Daltrey su magica voz me hizo viajar en el tiempo no queria parpadear ni perderme un segundo de esa magnifica presentacion, eso fuera de lo alucinante que era el escenario y de los juegos de luces que por momentos hacian parecer que estaban en una nave espacial fuera de este mundo.

Excelente documental acerca de el origen de los skinheads, desde la fusion de los rude boys y los mods durante la inmigracion de jamaiquinos a fines de los 60, hasta sus derivaciones actuales como los SHARP,RASH y claro algo de la escoria como los boneheads (pseudo skinheads fachos) de quienes se confirma que no tienen nada que ver con las raices del verdadero movimiento ni con la historia de los skinheads.
Dos skinheads franceses viajan mostrando los modos de vida y anecdotas de skinheads en europa y norte america.El documental ademas contiene entrevistas con personajes como Lauren Aitken, Busted Bloodvessel(cantante de Bad Manners), Jimmy Pursey (Sham 69), Rody Moreno (The Oppressed).

A Clockwork Orange (La Naranja Mecanica) – 1971

La Naranja Mecánica (cuyo título original es A Clockwork Orange) es una novela de Anthony Burgess, publicada en 1962 y adaptada por Stanley Kubrick en la película homónima aparecida en 1971. Se la considera parte de la tradición de las novelas distópicas británicas, sucesora de trabajos como 1984 y Un mundo feliz.
La película ha causado gran impacto desde su estreno, sobre todo porque cuenta con escenas de violencia explícita, y particularmente cruel en algunas escenas. Como lo explica Stanley Kubrick, en su estreno tuvo tanta repercusión que, en Inglaterra, se sucedieron una serie de crímenes perpetrados por jóvenes que supuestamente se veían inspirados por la película. Stanley Kubrick se encontró bajo una gran presión, ya que algunos medios le apuntaban a él como culpable de lo sucedido. Kubrick se vio seriamente afectado, no sólo porque residiera en Inglaterra, sino por saber que no todos habían interpretado correctamente los mensajes que subyacen tras la violencia que muestra en su obra. Ante esta situación, Kubrick forzó a la Warner a que retirara por completo la distribución de la película de Gran Bretaña, tras sesenta y una semanas en cartel. Esto muestra la gran libertad de la que gozaba el director (al ser capaz de imponer una decisión personal a unos grandes estudios), así como su gran determinación. La Naranja Mecánica no pudo ser vista en Gran Bretaña hasta después de la muerte de Stanley Kubrick, en 1999.
